One level-3 PHCC, one level-4 PHCC, one mobile clinic, one central laboratory, one thalassemia centre, and one central blood bank were all part of the plan to bolster primary healthcare services, as were the distribution of fifty kits to combat non-communicable diseases.
Beneficiaries were able to get the primary health care (PHC) services they required for the first time in years because of this intervention, which had been disrupted for years because of the conflict. Due to ongoing security incidents at the original hospital, the Management Committee has approved relocating certain services, beginning in April 2022, to a different hospital. These services pertain to a central laboratory, a thalassemia centre, and a central blood bank.
In addition, throughout the intervention’s duration, 50 NCD kits were distributed to 19 health centres in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, ensuring that patients with chronic diseases had access to the appropriate treatment. Protective gear was distributed to approximately 54,484 students and 7,516 administrative staff in 589 schools across the Deir ez-Zor Governorate (a box of 50 masks each). As a result, we must equip these recipients with safety gear to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

The total budget for this intervention was EUR 2.3 million, and after it was completed, the remaining funds, about EUR 163,000, were returned to the SRTF. Two primary health care centres (PHCCs) and one mobile clinic provided care to a total of 184,764 patients.
